The organic cotton takes fabric pen ink without bleeding, which I didn't expect from a write-in label. I stitch one into every quilt I gift now, and they hold up fine through a wash.

I've been writing my grandkids' names and the year on these with a fine-tip fabric marker and the cotton takes the ink without bleeding. The large size gives me plenty of room, which my shaky handwriting appreciates.

The organic cotton is soft enough that it doesn't scratch against the quilt backing once sewn in. I write the quilt's name, date, and who it's for on each one, and there's plenty of room without cramping my handwriting.
